Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) has announced that the entertainment offering onboard its ship Norwegian Epic will be boosted by the Blue Man Group.
The world renowned theatre company will provide cruise industry entertainment for the first time when it performs in the Norwegian Epic's 685-seat theatre from summer 2010.
Today, NCL executives said that the ship would introduce new concepts in entertainment, such as interactive dinner theatre, and will feature not only one theatre, but will have multiple, specially designed venues such as the “Spiegel Tent”, which looks like a big top, where the Cirque Dreams and Dinner show will take place.
Billed as interactive dinner theatre, performances will be staged throughout the meal by troupe members who will also serve dinner plates and fill water glasses from the air. If you drop a napkin at the Cirque show, a performer will literally bend over backwards to pick it up.
Norwegian Epic will operate alternating eastern and western Caribbean sailings from summer next year, visiting ports in the US Virgin Islands, the
NCL also operates itineraries in regions including Europe,
