Naturally, Queen Elizabeth upholds the Cunard reputation for superlative dining experiences and maintains the tradition of three classes of travel with separate restaurants - the Britannia, the Princess Grill or the Queens Grill, allocated according to the cabin grade you have booked. You can unwind in numerous intimate bars and lounges whilst entertainment ranges from lavish musical productions at the three-tier Royal Court Theatre complete with private boxes to lawn bowls and paddle tennis at the English country garden themed games deck. Opportunities for relaxation stretch from the simple pleasure of an enthralling novel selected from the two-tier library to state-of-the-art spa treatments at Queen Elizabeth’s Royal Spa which includes a spectacular hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite and the newly created Royal Bath House, the centrepiece for the ultimate spa experience.

Launched in October 2010, the Queen Elizabeth is a grand size - measuring 964.5 feet in length. And she has the capacity to carry 2,092 passengers. Weighing 90,400 tonnes, she can sail up to 28.5 knots/34mph.

Dining

Like the other ships in the Cunard fleet, the Queen Elizabeth is highly respected for the quality of its cuisine and service.

If you’re staying in the "Britannia" accommodation, then the "Britannia Restaurant" is for you. An elegant two-tier dining room, here you can choose from a wide selection of a la carte specialities, and you can dine either early or late - it’s entirely up to you.

Then there are the two Grill Rooms - "Queens Grill" and "Princess Grill". Which of these you dine in depends on your accommodation grade. Both are exclusive eateries - featuring impressive a la carte menus.

Another eating place on-board is "The Veranda Restaurant". Reservations are required here - and there is a cover charge for lunch and dinner.

For a more casual eatery, there’s "The Lido Cafe" and the "Golden Lion Pub" - where traditional British pub food is served.

The bars and lounges…"Café Carinthia", "Churchill’s", "Commodore Club", "Golden Lion Pub", "Midships Bar", "Queens Room", "The Garden Lounge","The Pavilion" and the "Yacht Club". And, then exclusive to Grill guests only, is "The Grills Lounge".

Leisure

Why not start each day with a brisk walk or jog around the Promenade Deck, whilst taking in the splendid views. For a leisurely swim, on deck 9, there are two spacious swimming pools. In addition, there are 5 whirlpools too – perfect for simply relaxing in as you sail on by…

With it’s English country garden feel, the Queen Elizabeth’s "Games Deck" is where you can play croquet, traditional bowls or paddle tennis. And, not forgetting the traditional ocean liner games, there’s shuffleboard and quoits. With daily tournaments, perhaps you should get practising?

There’s also a tennis court on-board, which can be found on deck 11.

Fancy learning to dance the Jitterbug, the Lindy Hop or traditional Ballroom dancing? Then attend the on-board dance lessons - it’ll be perfect practice for when you want to have a dance in the evening. For either a gentle or strenuous workout, there's a fully equipped gymnasium. There are fitness classes too, including yoga, Pilates, aerobics and spinning classes. Of you like your retail therapy then you must go to the traditional arcade on deck 3. You’ll find famous brands and chic designer boutiques here. If you’re after a novel by your favourite author, then there’s a library and a bookshop on-board. Both have a superb selection of books. And, the bookshop doubles up as a souvenir shop too. If you’re a fan of fine art, then "Clarendon Fine Art" has some exquisite pieces on display. "Cunard Connexions" is well worth a visit - it offers a programme of activities all day, every day. From watercolour to computer lessons, wine tasting to ballroom dancing as well as bridge and board games, there’s something for everyone.

Located just off the "Grand Lobby" is the "Computer Centre", so if you want to send an email or access the internet, this is the place to go.

Entertainment

In the style of a classic opera house, the three-tier high "Royal Court Theatre" features 20 private "royal boxes", which you can reserve for a special occasion if you wish.

There’s a lounge for pre-show drinks too. A Big Band night is often held in the "Queens Room" - where you’ll be served with afternoon tea as you listen and have a dance to the live music.

For a more intimate venue, there’s the "Yacht Club", here you can dance until the early hours.

Feeling lucky? Head off to the 'Empire casino' or play on the slot machines.

Relaxation

Her "Royal Spa" by Elemis boasts a range of indulgent treatments and massages, including the Ionithermie Revitalising Leg Therapy - perfect if you suffer from stiff and sore joints.

Then there’s the "Royal Bath House". Here you’ll find the hydrotherapy pool, which will works wonders at soothing aching muscles – it even helps improve circulation and metabolism too. Before or after your treatment or massage, effortlessly lounge in one of the heated ceramic loungers here, they’re so relaxing - you won’t want to get up!

For a long-lasting manicure or pedicure, Call in at the "Royal Spa’s Nail Bar".

Hair treatments are also available. Barber services are available for gentlemen.

The library - complete with leather sofas - is another relaxing place. If you're after a quiet read, then this is for you.

The Library has a selection of 6,000 books too.

Family

Children can have a fun time, thanks to Queen Elizabeth’s children’s programme on deck 10, run by qualified nannies. There’s an outdoor children’s play area and teenager programmes too. Babysitting services available.

Medical & Accessibility

Medical team on-board the ship. Any appointments/services carried out at the medical centre are charged at private rates - which can be expensive. So ensure you have adequate travel insurance prior to travelling.

Most areas are easily accessible for wheelchair users. And there’s a pool lift available. 20 of the cabins are wheelchair accessible. There are 12 elevators too. For individuals who are visually or hearing impaired - there's visual assistance and auditory assistance. Braille signage also available.
