ms Noordam entered service in 2006 as the newest of Holland America’s four Vista Class ships, named for the extensive use of glass throughout and embracing the very latest environmental technologies. Noordam’s 11 passenger decks are packed with world-class facilities for the whole family and Holland America’s Signature of Excellence features. During the day you can workout in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, learn yoga, take a dip in a choice of two outdoor pools, one with sliding glass roof, pamper yourself at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, check your email in the Explorations Café, or take in a cooking class from Master Chefs at the Culinary Arts Centre demonstration kitchen, there is a perfect onboard activity for everyone. For kids there’s Club HAL® for 3-12 year olds plus The Loft designed exclusively for teens (13 - 17) to hang out with people their own age and a video arcade.

She has four main restaurants including the splendid main Vista Dining room for a formal five-course affair, the intimate reservation-only Pinnacle Grill offering a sophisticated dining experience, the Lido Restaurant offering a relaxed, more casual option and the speciality Canaletto Italian Restaurant plus 24-hour in-room dining. After dinner head for one of the numerous bars and lounges, take in a show at either the three-storey Vista Show Lounge or Queen’s Lounge, try your luck at the casino, take in a movie at the cinema and end the night with a dance at the Crow's Nest nightclub offering sweeping 270° views out to sea.

Dining

On MS Noordam, dining is definitely one of the many highlights. For five-course culinary creations, there’s the "Vista Dining Room", which has continental cuisine, tasty vegetarian and low-carb options on offer. Here, you can either opt for the set dining times – or just head down when you’re ready. Perfect for an intimate meal for two is the "Pinnacle Grill". A reservations-only restaurant, this is where you can look forward to an array of specialities, including fresh seafood and Sterling Silver Beef. The 'Pinnacle Grill' also features a wine list boasting some of the finest wines in the world. A cover charge of $30 applies at the "Pinnacle Grill".

If you’re after a more casual place to dine, head for the "Lido Restaurant". As well as a variety of cooked-to-order specialties, there are popular kid’s menus too. The "Lido Restaurant" is also the venue for your cruise ship’s delicious midnight buffets.

In a cosy, coffee house environment, the "Explorations Café" serves coffee and pastries. MS Noordam also provides cappuccinos, espressos and complimentary ice cream during certain hours of the day. Furthermore, there are hot hors d’ oeuvres in all the bars. There are a number of bars, including the "Ocean Bar", "Piano bar" and "Sports Bar".

Leisure

MS Noordam has an array of activities for you to choose from. Go for a leisurely swim in one of the three swimming Pools. There are also five Whirlpools, perfect for relaxing in as you sail on by. If you’re a keen sports enthusiast, you can enjoy a game of Basketball or Volleyball on your cruise. To get those muscles pumping head to the well-equipped Fitness Centre. Want to brush up on your cooking skills? Then you must go along to the Culinary Arts Centre. Here the ship's master chefs - and other culinary guests - provide cooking demonstrations and classes. If you like shopping, then treat yourself or a loved one in the ship’s Shopping Arcade.

Entertainment

Elegant and sophisticated, the 867-seat "Vista Lounge" is where you can watch dazzling Broadway-style shows and cabaret acts.

Dancing more your thing? Boogie on down to the funky "Northern Lights Nightclub".

Alternatively, you can settle down with some popcorn and watch a recently released movie in the Cinema.

Feeling lucky? Then pay the Casino a visit.

Relaxation

Two decks high, the "Greenhouse Spa" is the place to go for a truly relaxing experience. Choose from a selection of soothing massages or revitalising treatments. The "Greenhouse Spa" also has a Solarium and Hydrotherapy Pool. There’s also a Thermal Suite, which incorporates a Laconium (gentle sauna), Hammam (mild steam) and Chamomile Grotto (small aromatic steam room). There’s also a Beauty Salon - it’s the perfect excuse to get your hair and nails done for all those special evenings you’ve got to come on your cruise. In need of a relaxing read? Family

Club Hal provides fun activities for youngsters aged 3 to 12. All the activities are supervised - and age appropriate. "The Loft" is designed exclusively for teens (13 - 17). It’s the cool place to hang out and make new friends.

Medical & Accessibility

MS Noordam has an on-board Medical Centre staffed by doctors and nurses. The ship’s Medical Centre is well equipped to handle most emergencies and medical procedures.

A wheelchair friendly ship, MS Noordam has 28 wheelchair accessible cabins and 14 elevators. Guests using a wheelchair need to have a capable traveling companion.
