Voyager of the Seas, when she launched in 1999 became the first member of Royal Caribbean’s Voyager class vessels, a revolutionary marvel with a whole host of innovative onboard features and industry firsts. She was the first to feature a rock climbing wall and ice-skating rink at sea and first to feature Royal Caribbean’s amazing Royal Promenade, a street running through the heart of the ship just over 3/4 the length of the ship lined with shops, bars and dining venues.
Voyager of the Seas has a guest capacity of over 3,100, a length of 1020ft and a gross tonnage of 138,000. Her maiden voyage was 21 November 1999 and she cruises at a comfortable speed of 23 knots/27mph

Voyager of the Seas has an array of dining venues to choose from to satisfy the whole family. The main dining room is set upon three floors each being named after a composer; "Mozart", "Strauss" and "Vivaldi". If you fancy something a little more casual then there are plenty of options to choose from. For sandwiches, snacks and buffet food head down to The "Promenade Café" or "Windjammer Café". She houses a traditional British pub called the Pig "n" Whistle, "Chops Grille" offering steaks, burgers and seafood. "Johnny Rockets" is the on-board 1950s restaurant with traditional American food. "Latte-Tudes" is the on-board coffee shop with a selection of pastries and cakes, or if you fancy ice-cream there is always "Ben and Jerry’s". "Portofino" is the on-board luxury Italian restaurant.
Voyager of the seas has lots of activities for everyone. You can climb the Rock Climbing Wall, skate around the Ice Rink and take a swim in the three swimming pools, including six whirl pools. If you are missing your family and friends at home you can always send them an e-postcard in the internet cafe. The ship caters for the athletic with fully equipped gym, full size basketball court, plus a golf simulator and a 9-hole miniature golf course. Amongst the many things to do, there is also; wine tastings and classes, casino and card game lessons, napkin folding, towel folding, fruit ’ vegetable carving, foreign language classes, learn to salsa dance and learn to swing dance!
Voyager of the Seas has plenty of shows and productions to entertain you all night long. The "Show Lounge" houses an Orchestra pit and features an array of cabaret acts, which you can also see in "Cleopatra’s Needle Lounge", including some fantastic adult comedy acts. The "Schooner Bar" is where you can unwind with a cocktail and listen to the piano, or boogie down to the nightclub where you can dance the night away in their disco. There are daily performances of ice-skating shows or if you prefer to just sit and listen to music then "Aquarium Bar", "Champagne Bar" and "Connoisseur Club" are the perfect place to have a quiet drink and relax. Jazz lovers may be interested in visiting 'High Notes' which is an intimate room for soulful music. 'Casino Royale' is perfect for anyone who fancies a bit of a gamble, with beginner lessons, tournaments for the more advanced, slot machines and all-round entertainment
Whilst aboard Voyager of the Seas why not indulge yourself in a relaxing massage in the on-board spa, take advantage of their "detox your skin" sessions or even try their teeth whitening service, all accompanied by the magnificent view of the ocean of course.
There are plenty of shows, parties and discos dedicated to families of all shapes and sizes. The popular home for the teens is "The Arcade", where you’ll find various arcade games including; Air Hockey, Guitar Hero, Pacman, Skittle Time, to name a few. Voyager of the Seas has an age appropriate activity programme for all the children, with workshops, arts and crafts, backstage tours, dance lessons, rock climbing wall instructions, ice skating lessons, jewellery making, ice carving lessons, cooking demonstrations, play the keyboard or even partake in a hip-hop dance lesson.
There are two qualified doctors and three nurses on board your ship. There is pharmacy on-board although it is advisable to bring any special medication with you during your cruise.
Voyager of the seas offers wide corridors to accommodate for wheelchair users and they also provide assistance when getting on and off the ship. You can bring your own wheelchair or alternatively hire on and they will personally deliver it to your stateroom. They also accommodate for visual impairment with Braille all around the ship, orientation tours, large printed menus and guide dogs are also welcome. For people with hearing disabilities, they provide an alert system in your room that lets you know when someone is knocking at your door; your phone is ringing, alarm clock and smoke detector. Sign language assistance is also available for some of the main productions.
