A treasured British tradition for centuries, a proper afternoon tea is one of the joys of a cruise holiday, and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has introduced a very special enhanced tea that restores this delightful meal to its former glory.

The new, enhanced afternoon tea is available in all Fred Olsen ships – Balmoral, Braemar, Black Watch and Boudicca. The new afternoon tea is served by waiters in white gloves and uses fine bone china. There is a choice of teas, including some herbal, Indian and China varieties, and a superb selection of delicate sandwiches, freshly baked cakes, scones with cream and jam and many more afternoon delights.

This is all enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, with gentle music playing in the background – a far cry from the hustle and bustle of daily life and a real oasis in the day on board.

Originally trialled on Braemar, the new afternoon tea has proven very popular with Fred Olsen customers and is now being rolled out across the fleet.
