Summer 2021 marks the maiden season for MSC Cruises’ newest ship – Virtuosa. Setting sail from 20th May, some lucky members of staff at Cruise118 are excited to step on-board for the maiden voyage. We’re already counting down to experience all of the brilliant features, entertainment and of course the dining options from this exciting new ship.   1. The ‘Himalayan Bridge’ in the Polar Aquapark
    One of the most intricate and exciting water parks at sea, with twisting slides and a range of pools, we can’t wait to make a splash in the Aquapark and cross the daring ‘Himalayan Bridge’!

2. The MSC Aurea Spa
From Balinese massages to whirlpool baths, being pampered on-board and indulging in some self-care is just what we need to relax into our summer seacation. Whether you’re looking to let off some steam in the sauna or maintain a manicure come away from your cruise feeling refreshed and revitalised.

3. Head-to-head F1 Racing
Feel immersed in the track and channel your inner Lewis Hamilton with the F1 simulators available on-board and compete head-to-head in a Formula 1 virtual reality race.

4. Culinary Globe Trotting
Whether it’s a steak from Butcher’s Cut, or a dazzling display of tricks and flips in Kaito Teppanyaki, we’re excited to try new and unique cuisine at sea. With ten world-class restaurants on-board, we’re sure to experience a delight for the palette from all four corners of the world.

5. MSC Starship Club
Taking mixology to a new level, we’re excited to sample cocktails made by Rob, the humanoid robotic bartender. With space themed cocktails, 3D holograms and a 12-seater infinity digital interactive table we’re ready to be transported out of this world with a personalised galactic tour!

6. Cirque du Soleil at Sea
The exclusive partnership with Cirque du Soleil, means guests on MSC Virtuosa can take advantage of seeing the spectacular reinvented circus shows over dinner with two original shows every night, six times a week!

7. A chocoholic’s dream
Award-winning pastry chef and chocolatier Jean-Philippe Maury provides two indulgent concepts for those with a sweet tooth aboard MSC Virtuosa with Chocolat & Café, featuring an open chocolaterie adorned with intricate chocolate sculptures. Guests can enjoy an array of sweet treats whilst watching the art of the chocolate-making process.

8. Fusion cuisine at Indochine
Making its debut on Virtuosa, Indochine combines the culinary heritage of Vietnamese and French cuisines. Taking the classic savoury flavours of Vietnam and adding a contemporary French twist, this is one fusion restaurant we’re sure you won’t want to miss.


9. Hola! Tacos & Cantina
Also making its debut on Virtuosa, this Latin American and Mexican inspired restaurant offers fast-casual street food dining. With dishes made for sharing, a signature salsa bar and a fresh guacamole station to complete the experience, we can’t wait to tuck in!

10. Returning to cruising
It feels like the longest time since we were last able to cruise, but with UK seacations available, we’re excited to return to life on-board and take in all of the wonderful things that make the cruise experience what it is.
