Everyone loves to escape to the sun, sea and sand on their holiday, heading to the beach for the ultimate relaxation. Either for a short break or a long getaway, a beach is always somewhere holidaymakers love to walk along, dipping their toes in the crystal-blue waters and laying under the sun’s rays for a while.
Here are some of our favourite beaches around the world, perfect for planning your next sailing!
Petite Anse, Seychelles
Situated in the eastern part of Grande Anse, the Petite Anse beach is idyllic and breath-taking. There are stalls selling fresh coconuts and juice nearby, and its well within walking distance of the busier Grande Anse beach and Anse Cocos if you fancy a change of scenery. Although, who would?
Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Australia
This pristine and award-winning beach is the most beautiful of all the stunning beaches in the Whitsundays. At the northern end, enjoy the views of Hill Inlet and its fusion of colours, often described as one of the most beautiful places they have ever seen.
Navagio Beach, Zakynthos, Greece
Secluded and serene, Navagio Beach is situated in a Greek cove. Noted for its beauty and sandy white stretch, the beach is also home to a crumbling smuggler’s shipwreck – giving it the name ‘Shipwreck Beach’ and ‘Smuggler’s Cove’.
Nova Icaria Beach, Barcelona
Nova Icaria beach is one of the best for watersports and situated in a prime location close to the marina and observatory. It’s often referred to as a calm beach which is great for families and groups to meet and relax.
Costa Maya, Mexico
Costa Maya beaches offer some of the best ways to relax during a Caribbean getaway. With plenty of beach adventures, as well as places to kick back and relax in the sunshine, its a destination ideal for everyone to enjoy.
Honopu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii
A stunning beach, as are the rest of Hawaiian beaches, this one is dramatic and beautiful. You can only access this beach by swimming to it, as no boats are able to land here – it’s one of the most inaccessible beaches in Hawaii!
Ilha Grande, Brazil
Just an hour away from Rio de Janeiro, Ilha Grande offers white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and exciting forest trails as the perfect tropical retreat. It’s mostly unspoiled and the island is completely pedestrianised so it’s a truly relaxing place to explore.
Ko Phi Phi Island, Thailand
A classic tropical paradise, the Ko Phi Phi islands offer turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life and is surrounded by emerald trees. The region attracts people to stay on the shores due to its romantic-feel, however there are smaller islands such as Phi Phi Leh which are much quieter if you wanted to truly getaway.

Venice Beach is the place for eclectic artists to gather such as poets and dancers. The beautiful bay and sprawling sand beaches offer the perfect backdrop for individuals to gather and perform. It’s also a great place to enjoy shopping for treasures, dining in the many venues close by and walking along the boardwalk at sunset.
