Azamara Cruises to North America

When it comes to breathtaking natural wonders, vibrant exciting cities and enticing cultural experiences, Azamara South America Cruises are the perfect way to experience all those things and more. Available on selected sailings:

As continent so rich in heritage, South America lends itself perfectly to the luxurious Azamara experience. Just imagine an overnight stay in Brazil’s iconic capital Rio de Janeiro, where you can explore the quant, cobbled streets by day and later on, enjoy a truly memorable Azamazing Evening as you sample the local cuisine or take to the floor for a sensational samba. Or if a tantalising tango is more your thing, then let these Azamara South America Cruises take you to the sizzling streets of Argentina’s lively capital Buenos Aires, the very place where the dance was born.

As well as these world-famous cities, depending on which of the Azamara South America cruises you choose, you can visit a number of Brazil’s coastal highlights, and some of Uruguay’s most popular ports, too. Whichever port you are in, you can choose from an exciting selection of Azamara’s Land Discoveries, designed to help you get the most out each destination you visit.

A nine-night Best of Brazil Voyage does indeed offer you the best of South America’s largest country and more, too as you’ll get a taste of Uruguay and Argentina, too. You’ll begin your voyage with an overnight stay in Brazil’s intoxicating capital Rio, meaning you’ll have plenty of time in the day to experience what makes the legendary Ipanema and Copacabana beaches so special and later on, immerse yourself in the city’s sizzling samba-rich nightlife.

From there, you’ll begin your voyage with a visit to ‘the San Tropez of South America’, Buzios, a classy paradise resort famously frequented by Bridgette Bardot in the 1960’s. There are 20 beaches and numerous shops to enjoy, and you can pay your respects to Bridgette too, as she’s immortalised in bronze on the town’s promenade. Parati is your next port of call and is a veritable time capsule and one of Brazil’s most historic port towns. There are no cars permitted in the old town centre, so you’re free to stroll care-free and enjoy the delightful colonial architecture. Land Adventures here include a visit to a famous distillery or a sugar estate. Ilhabela translates as ‘beautiful island’ and on this port of call, you’ll soon discover why as you enjoy an exhilarating jungle trek, experience the island’s waterfalls and enjoy a Brazilian Caipirinha cocktail or two. Your next port is Uruguay’s Punta Del Este, one of the most fashionable seaside resorts in the world, with a contemporary forward-looking feel thanks to its beach sculpture park and chic shops.

Your cruise will end in classic style, in Argentina’s vibrant, cosmopolitan capital Buenos Aires, where you can explore the city’s contrasting districts, which offer everything from the ultimate shopping experience to an authentic cultural immersion. By night, you can dance the Tango and enjoy a succulent Argentine steak and a glass of Malbec wine.
