Cruise And Maritime Voyages Ships

Specialising in cruises sailing from the UK, Cruise and Maritime ships offer travellers a more traditional cruising experience on their fleet of small and medium-sized vessels. Available on selected sailings:

These classic ships aim to reflect the values of cruisers from the UK, people from an island nation with a long seafaring history who respect the real sense of maritime tradition which the line offers.

Each of these Cruise and Maritime ships carries between 600 and 1,250 passengers and offers an excellent choice of facilities to keep you occupied during days at sea.

Joining the Cruise and Maritime fleet in the spring of 2015, Magellan is the newest ship to join the fleet and the cruise line's adult-friendly flagship, accommodating around 1,250 guests on cruises departing from a wide range of UK ports to beautiful destinations across Northern Europe and the Baltics including Scandinavia, St Peterburg and Amsterdam. She also ventures further afield during the winter 2015/16 season on a grand voyage to the West Indies and South America.

This magnificent ship boasts a host of wonderful on-board facilities and features alongside exceptional service from a dedicated crew, whose priority is to make sure every guest is well catered for from departure up until the end of their voyage.

A total of 726 spacious and stlyish suites and staterooms are available to book aboard Magellan, many featuring ocean view windows and some with balconies.

Guests will find host of excellent features and entertainment aboard this fantastic flagship, including two elegant restaurants serving delicious cuisine, a total of six bars and lounges, a vibrant nightclub and lively casino. In addition, Magellan also boasts two swimming pools, three Jacuzzis, a gymnasium, a Wellness and Beauty Centre as well as the opportunity for boutique shopping on-board.

Astoria is brand new for the line in 2015 and offers 550 passengers a traditional cruise liner experience, with her classic and spacious sun deck, outdoor pool and a mouth-watering menu of dishes to choose from.

Offering an enticing selection of itineraries exploring the Spanish, Portuguese and Norwegian coasts, she’s also your ticket to Iceland, the Baltic capitals and even some of the most engaging ports to be found along our home shores.

Her classic style is an on-going theme which extends to her accommodations but when it comes to amenities, you’ll find that Astoria sits comfortably alongside many of the larger vessels to be found in the cruising world and offers guests a range of stylish en-suite facilities, safe, fridge and an in-house movie service.

Dinner in the Olissipo Restaurant is always a memorable event with a mouth-watering menu available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If a late night snack is order that’s covered too, while an al fresco experience is never far away, thanks to alternative dining venue the Lotus Buffet.

Evenings on-board meanwhile, are yours to spend as you wish, whether that’s taking in a musical production in the Calypso Show Lounge, relaxing with new-found friends and laid-back music in the Sirenes Bar or having a flutter in the on-board casino.

Astor is the perfect choice for cruisers who want to experience such exciting and far-off destinations as Australia and South Africa and some of their most memorable ports.

Fully air conditioned and offering a welcoming country house style to just 600 guests, Astor is the perfect vessel when it comes to meeting new friends and enjoying a relaxed cruising experience.

There’s certainly a suite or cabin to suit any traveller on-board, with 16 different categories of accommodation to choose from. Whether it’s a Standard Twin Inner or an indulgent Astor Suite, your attentive cabin steward is on-hand to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.

Daily activity programmes on-board Astor ensure that there’s always something to grab your interest, whether that’s joining in fitness workout or listening to a guest-speaker. Come evening, you’ll be able to choose from a varied and appetising menu  in the Waldorf Restaurant, then perhaps take in an exciting cabaret show in the Astor Lounge.

MS Marco Polo

Taking a lead from her famous namesake, the MS Marco Polo explores the seas in classic style. Her distinctive blue hull, teak decks and traditional profile evoke the feel of the cruising days of old.

However, she´s completely up to date when it comes to home comforts and you´ll enjoy full air-conditioning across her eight passenger decks and the use of four lifts to help you get around.

You´ll feel extra special as you dine in the Waldorf Restaurant, a classic dining experience with a two-sitting fixed time option and a truly mouth-watering menu.

Or, if you prefer, take it easy in the Pine Garden, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean as you dine. The Captain´s Club, meanwhile is the perfect place for pre-dinner cocktails as the ship´s resident pianist provides your sophisticated soundtrack.

If you want to find the perfect gift for a friend or relative back home or just fancy treating yourself, then the ship´s shopping arcade is ideal.

No matter what you choose to do to occupy your time on sea days, you can be assured of a friendly atmosphere and a comfortable cabin to relax in at the end of the day.

Continuing a theme of exploration when it comes to ships’ names, Columbus is Cruise and Maritime Voyages’ new flagship.

Home porting at London Tilbury, the ship will continue another trend for the line, namely a commitment to offer an extensive selection of sailings from home shores. Catering to 1,400 passengers, she is the largest ship ever to sail for Cruise and Maritime, offering 12 passenger decks.

A larger ship means more accommodation options and some of the most sought-after suites on-board are the deluxe balcony cabins, with the ship also offering 150 cabins specifically for solo cruisers.

As for keeping yourself entertained while at sea, Columbus offers a great selection of shops which are a joy to explore from its three-deck atrium, while the Taverner’s Pub and Casino is sure to prove a hit with British cruisers. There’s a giant TV screen on deck so that you can enjoy movies under the stars, and one particularly original feature is the ship’s Dome Observatory, which is great place to enjoy both ocean vistas and the sky at night.

Columbus offers five different dining venues, including three fine dining venues and two speciality coffee shops, as well as eight different lounge bars, so you’ll have plenty of choice when it comes to finding the perfect to relax and enjoy an evening drink with friends.
