There are a total of 12 MSC cruise ships in the fleet, all with contemporary styling, high quality restaurants, a choice of cabins and suites including those with balconies and ample entertainment options, from family-friendly clubs to casinos, nightclubs and theatres, along with a range of excellent sporting facilities.
Regardless of your ship choice, you can be sure that all of the MSC vessels are ideal for an unforgettable cruise. Each ship combines striking features and a warm atmosphere to provide a wonderful time at sea, which means you can be sure of having a great time while you are on-board.
There are three main classes of ship in the MSC fleet. The Fantasia class ships are the largest and the most modern, fitted with advanced technology and innovative features to guarantee a truly memorable holiday. The class includes the MSC Fantasia, the MSC Splendida, the MSC Divina and the newest ship in the entire fleet, the MSC Preziosa, which launched in 2013. The innovative ships combine futuristic styles and elements with the classic, luxurious elegance to provide a splendid cruise experience.
The Musica class ships are stylish, modern and all launched between 2006 and 2010. They are all fitted with a wealth of restaurants and leisure facilities to ensure that you have a memorable holiday. As per all of the MSC ships, they have dedicated children´s activities on-board, so that the whole family can have a great time, offering the kids somewhere to have fun whilst parents unwind. The MSC Musica, MSC Magnifica, MSC Poesia and MSC Orchestra are bound to capture the imagination of every guest.
The MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera, MSC Armonia and MSC Lirica make up the Lirica Class, smaller than the other classes (less than half the gross tonnage of the Fantasia Class ships) but still offering the same high standards of dining, entertainment and service that guests have come to expect from MSC ships, with pools, bars, restaurants, spa treatments and more, alongside the attentive and welcoming staff you´ll find across the fleet. They were built between 2001 and 2004, entering service with MSC from 2003 to 2005.
MSC Cruises is to launch an incredible four new ships over the next few years. Two will set sail in 2017, one will launch in 2018 and another is schedule for 2019. The line has decribed the new vessels as game-changers, and while two will accommodate up to 4,140 guests, featuring an on-board theatre, terraced balconies and panoramic lifts with sea views, the other two will have space for up to 5,700 passengers per voyage, which will make them the joint second largest ships in the world.
