Princess Cruises' innovative Ocean Medallion offers a wholly personalised, effortless and futuristic way of cruising. It's the first-of-its-kind wearable device which streamlines every moment on your Princess Cruises' ship. From dining and drinks to embarkation and entertainment, you will never look back once you've experienced Ocean Medallion.

How does it work?

Ocean Medallion stores information on your digital identity, which is then communicated with readers on-board and in port. The device can be used for payments, unlocking your stateroom door, speeding up embarkation as well as letting the crew know your preferences.

You will carry it with you everywhere on the ship, either as a wristband, pendant or clip, or you can keep it in your pocket or bag. The device can be operated through your smartphone, with a host of features including:

• Ocean Ready - Speeding up embarkation by storing your passport details, photo and payment details
• Ocean Now - Ordering food and drink with location details for crew to find and deliver you food easily
• Ocean Compass - A wayfinder tool to help passengers navigate the ship
• Play Ocean - Take part in games with fellow passengers using your smartphone device as a controller
• Ocean Casino - Play your luck on the slots, poker or roulette
• Ocean View - Stream TV shows from your stateroom to your sunlounger

Does it cost more?

The Ocean Medallion device and technology is included in your cruise fare. All you need to do is ensure that your selected sailing is Ocean Medallion ready to enjoy the experience first-hand.

Which ships have Ocean Medallion?

The technology is slowly being rolled out across the Princess Cruises fleet, starting with Caribbean Princess, Regal Princess, Royal Princess, Crown Princess, Sky Princess, Ruby Princess and Grand Princess who have it in place already.

The technology is also coming soon to the following ships Enchanted Princess, Emerald Princess, Coral Princess, Island Princess and Discovery Princess.

You can experience the Ocean Medallion technology on selected sailings to destinations including Alaska, Australasia, Canada and the US, Caribbean and Europe.
