Barcelona Cruises

Barcelona is Spain's largest city and the capital of Catalonia and attracts tourists from all over the world. With a rich history dating back at least 2,000 years, Barcelona is famous for its culture and mesmerising architecture. Many of Barcelona's buildings date from the medieval period - some even older. Labelled ‘Art Nouveau' the architecture present in Barcelona is courtesy of ‘Antoni Gaudi' – the most famous architect in Barcelona. Gaudi's most famous building is probably the ‘La Sagrada Familia Temple', which has been under construction since 1882! A truly magnificent building, it's an absolute must-see when you're in Barcelona. The museums are definitely worth a visit too - the ‘City History Museum' is Barcelona's most famous one. Offering something for everyone, Barcelona also has stunning sandy beaches, outdoor markets, fashionable boutiques, fine restaurants and more.

Barcelona's world famous 'Las Ramblas' starts at 'Plaça Catalunya' and ends at Barcelona's harbour. Here you'll discover souvenirs and painters. The shops on 'Las Ramblas' are opened seven days a week. For famous brands like Chanel, Armani or Zara, then visit ‘Plaça Catalunya', ‘Passeig de Gràcia' or ‘Diagonal'.

The local currency is the Euro. Barcelona is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1).
