Bodo Norway Cruises

Situated just north of the Artic Circle, Bodo is the largest city in Nordland – and the second largest in Norway. Plenty of activities await at this port of call - from guided walks, hiking, cycling through the charming countryside to watching sea eagles and fishing, Bodo has it all. Whilst you're here you can check out the 'Norwegian Aviation Museum' one of the areas most popular museums; head to Saltstraumen – the strongest whirling stream on earth; visit 'Bodo Domkirke Cathedral' – it has an unusual spire that's unlike most cathedral architecture; or for a superb view of the town go along to 'Nyholmen Skanse – formerly a fortress for World War 1, today it is one of the city's most unique features.

When it comes to shopping in Bodo, the 'Koch I Glasshuset', in the city centre, is home to a wide variety of stores. Most of the stores here are Norwegian or European. The 'City Nord', is just on the outskirts of the town and you'll find a good selection of stores here too.

The local currency in Bodo is the Norwegian Krone (NOK). Bodo is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +1).
