Cruises to Cartagena, Spain

Not to be confused with the Colombian city of Cartagena, the Spanish city of Cartagena is a popular cruise port located in the Murcia region of southeast Spain.

The cruise port in Cartagena is in a great location, right by the city centre, meaning that transportation isn't needed, you can just step off the ship and explore on foot. As you wander into the city, you'll spot lots of states and monuments and several leafy park areas.

The city centre of Cartagena is great for shopping and has lots of nice bars where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink. A few streets away from the bustling shopping district are traditional narrow Spanish street. Much of the city centre was rebuilt in the late-19th century after a federalist insurrection destroyed much of it, Therefore, there are some gorgeous art nouveau buildings to admire.

For the best views of the city, take the lift up to the Castillo de le Conception and you can admire your cruise ship from a distance as well as looking over both the ancient Roman theatre and its modern-day equivalent.

Popular landmarks to visit:
