La Digue Cruises

La Digue is the fourth largest inhabited island of the Seychelles. The city's star attraction has got to be its stunning beaches. Surrounded by a beautiful coral reef, snorkelling – as well as sunbathing - is particularly popular here. If you love wildlife then you must visit ‘Veuve Nature Reserve' – it's home to the rare Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher – a species only found on La Digue. There are numerous walking trails to enjoy too, including ‘L'Union Estate'. One of the most visited sites in La Digue, it is here that an old plantation house still stands. And whilst you're here check out the nearby granite boulders are impressive structures. For the most breath taking sea views, be sure to go to La Digue's tallest peak, ‘Bell Vue'. If you're feeling active, hike on to the tip of the 'iceberg' Nid Aigle – it's a trail well worth the climb.

In La Digue you'll come across vendors selling souvenirs near to the docks. There's also local, fresh produce for sale from various stalls – it's a great way to sample the local fruit and vegetables.

La Digue's local currency is the Seychelles Rupees (SCR). La Digue is 3 hours ahead of Greenwich meantime (GMT +3).
