Leknes is a town in the county of Nordland on the island of Lofoten which is situated in North Norway. This beautiful place was voted by National Geographic as one of the three most appealing destinations in the world and once you sail into port and see the magnificent landscape that surrounds Lekness, its not hard to see why. During your time here you can visit the Lofoten Viking Museum which is home to a whole host of Viking artefacts including; the biggest ever Viking Long-house and a traditional Viking boat, explore the beautiful fjords of Lekness, visit the Vestvagoy Museum which was once a former schoolhouse and has a great tale to tell, or you can visit Huaklandstranda which is known as the most beautiful beach in Norway and offers white sand and spectacular mountain cliffs.
There are a few shops around the harbour or you can visit the surrounding villages for more shops and markets. Souvenirs that are popular here include; hand-crafted items, jewellery, Viking souvenirs, ceramics, ornaments and fresh produce.
