San Antonio, Chile Cruises

San Antonio is a cruise port set amongst the Chilean coast, with its hills and sand dunes. Though you are welcome to remain in San Antonio, close to the port, many cruisers choose instead to travel to nearby Santiago. Santiago de Chile is the capital of Chile, and is approximately 90 minutes from San Antonio by bus. Once in Santiago de Chile, you will find theatres, shops, museums and dining establishments in abundance, with a lively city atmosphere making for interesting guided tours. Don’t miss Fonck Museum, which is home to one of the 500-year-old stone heads from Easter Island along with many other treasures.

Other options for cruisers disembarking in San Antonio are a visit to a local winery to discover more about the winemaking process, or a visit to a San Antonio casino. A ride on a Funicular railway is also a popular choice, through the scenic hills of nearby Valparaiso. San Antonio's comfortable summers and mild winters make it a year-round destination, with easy access to some of the most popular locations in Chile.

The currency in San Antonio is the Chilean Peso. San Antonio is 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT -4).
