Skjolden is a small village in Norway. The village is home to just 200 people and as you sail into port you will be greeted to colourful houses, rolling green hills and a warm and friendly local welcome. Skjolden is home to the longest navigable fjord in the world, Sognefjorden and at the foot of Norway's highest mountains and largest glacier. During your time here you can visit the museums, art galleries and heritage sites here in Skjolden, plus the Urnes Stave Church is the oldest in Norway and listed as a World Heritage Site making it the perfect place to explore.
As this village is so small, there are not a lot of shopping facilities available. You will be able to buy hand-crafted gifts and trinkets from the few shops that there are here.
The currency here is the Norwegian krone (NOK). Skjolden is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich meantime (GMT +1).
