Step back in time as you jump aboard this ‘fun ship’, as Carnival Freedom has been decorated to pay tribute to decades of the past. Don’t be fooled by the décor though, this ship certainly isn’t dated, as she offers plenty of exciting facilities, activities and amenities for the whole family to enjoy.
Beginning her journey back in 2005, this incredible ship certainly knows a thing or two about having a good time and that’s exactly what you can come to expect on the ever-so impressive, Carnival Freedom.
On-board you can expect 13 decks full of dining venues, a spa and health club, 22 bars and lounges, a theatre and casino, spacious and comfortable accommodation, an award-winning Carnival kids program, a massive 270-square-foot LED screen, swimming pools and a waterslide, plenty of sporting activities and a whole host of colourful and vibrant nightly entertainment.
Carnival Freedom offers a number of formal options, including the two elegant dining rooms and the reservations-only “Sun King Supper Club”. The food-court style “Freedom Restaurant” offers a casual option. Serving international food, you’ll find a Deli, Asian eatery, Fish & Chips, 24-hour Pizzeria and a Grill here. Come evening, the “Freedom Restaurant” transforms into the “Seaview Bistro” and provides an alternative to the more formal eateries. On the Promenade Deck you’ll discover the “Viennese Café” and “Meiji Sushi Bar”. And, don’t forget, there’s round-the-clock room service available too, just in case you get hungry in the middle of the night!
You can certainly make a splash on this ship as she has three swimming pools – including a children’s pool – and an impressive 214-foot long twisting waterslide. If you fancy keeping fit during your holiday then there is a jogging track on-board. Or you could head to the Gymnasium in which you will find all the latest equipment to offer the perfect work-out. You can even take advantage of fitness classes including Pilates, Aerobics and Yoga. What better way than to remember your holiday with a family photo? You can purchase a snap from the Photo Gallery.
Other activities include a 9-hole mini golf course, table tennis and a multi-purpose sports court. Golfers sailing aboard this ship have the opportunity to perfect their swing and receive personalised lessons at the floodlit driving range which features state-of-the-art video analysis.
The multi-tiered ‘Victoriana Show Lounge’ features fast-paced production shows and major cabaret acts. Another hotspot is the ‘Aft Lounge’ with its live music and late night cabaret acts. Or you could dance the night away in the ‘Dance Club’; recline to the sound of the piano in the ‘Piano Bar’; or catch a big game on the big-screen TVs in ‘Sports Bar’. For after-dinner cigars and brandy, head to the ultra-cosy ‘Habana’.
Alternatively you can enjoy a movie alfresco - courtesy of Freedom's 12-foot-high by 22-foot-wide LED outdoor screen. And if you are away during a big game or sporting tournament, do not worry because it is here that you will be able to watch all the action on the big screen. If you're feeling lucky, head to the Casino - it is here you can play black jack, poker, craps and bingo.
In addition to all the non-stop activities and fun that you will experience on-board, make sure you give yourself time to relax and indulge in an array of revitalising treatments in the Spa. You can enjoy hot stone massages, aromatherapy, or simply just chill out in the sauna and steam room. If you are visiting one of the speciality dining restaurants then you can get a complete transformation in the beauty parlour. And don't forget the Serenity Adults Only Retreat at the back of the ship - it's the hub of relaxation.
The award winning Carnival youth program is certainly one they are proud of and it’s not hard to see why. With pool parties, dance competitions, arts and crafts, video games, exclusive teen shore excursions, sleepovers and karaoke, your youngsters certainly won’t be bored on their holiday. Split into different age groups you will find: ‘Camp Carnival’ is for 2-11 year olds, ‘Circle C’ is for 12-14 year olds and ‘Club O2’ is for the 15-17 year olds to hang out.
