MS Fridtjof Nansen

A fantastic addition to the Hurtigruten fleet, Fridtjof Nansen is one of the cruise line’s next generation of expedition ships. She is named after the Norwegian explorer and Noble Peace Prize laureate and pays homage to the historical roots of Norwegian polar expeditions throughout. The ship is currently under construction, but it has been confirmed that the ship features Hurtigruten’s battery hybrid powered propulsion system and is built for the next generation of adventure travel.

On-board, Scandinavian materials are mixed with relaxed interior design to make you feel at home, with plenty to see and experience to make your sailing entertaining, informative and unforgettable.

Lindstrom Restaurant - Hurtigruten

Fridtjof Nansen offers three dining venues, the main dining room is Aune, named after Tinus Aune – a Norwegian ship chandler and polar expedition supplier. Here, guests can enjoy buffet-style breakfast and open-seated lunches, with dinner either seated or buffet service. Fredheim – named after a 1900’s hunting station on Svalbard – is a social meeting place which offers light bites and snacks, while Lindstrøm is a speciality restaurant offering low key Nordic cooking. This restaurant is named after the favourite chef of the Norwegian polar heroes – Adolf Lindstrøm.
