See the authentic life of the local fisherman and their families who live amongst the flooded mangrove forest and the surrounds of Kampong Phluk Village area which is also home to a variety of wildlife.
In the morning you will visit Angkor Thom city, founded in the 12th Century by King Jayavarman VII and the capital until the 17th century. Here, you will visit the most well-preserved gate, then continue to the peaceful smiling-faced tower temple of Bayon, where you can imagine how amazing it would be for the first explorer to witness trees with umbrella-like branches and other types of creeping vegetation.
Then it will be time for you to stroll around Ta Prhom temple, which featured in Tomb Raider film. You will then head to the active pilgrimage site of Angkor Wat, the biggest Hindu temple in the world, to enjoy an ornately carved wall of more than 2000 meters long by 2 metres high.
After completing the tour around the most visited temples in Angkor, you still have time to admire the whole view of the Angkor Wat temple itself, rice paddies and the active reservoir of West Baray. Don't miss a climb to the summit of Phnom Bakheng hill at sunset.
