Drop off your car in Banff and board the Rocky Mountaineer train for your First Passage
Day 6
Travel on-board the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops.
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.

Icy Strait is a narrow channel of water that separates Chichagof Island to Alaska mainland and is situated in the south eastern region of Alaska. This intimate town offers beautiful Alaskan scenery and a whole wealth of history and culture to discover. During your time here at this port of call you can spend some time at the Native Heritage Centre Theatre where you will see a display of dancing a performances, go on a search for Alaskan wildlife on the Remote Bush Exploration and Wildlife Search and Flightseeing over Glacier Bay offers panoramic views across the spectacular ice fields, forests and waterfalls. Whatever you choose to do, you will love this magical port of call.

Alaska’s remote capital, offers breath-taking scenery, access to local wildlife, including bears, whales and eagles, a variety of outdoor activities and a must see on every visitors itinerary, a visit to the 1,500 square mile Juneau Icefield, to visit the stunning glaciers. Perfect for both experts and novices, the host of activities and attraction in Juneau will leave you spoilt for choice
Day 13
Skagway is a borough situated on the Inside Passage region of Alaska. As you sail into the port of Skagway you will be greeted by snow-topped mountains and a beautiful harbour. Skagway is a historical city with a Gold Rush past and as you walk through the town you will feel like you stepped back in time as the buildings are made to look like they are from an old western town. During your time here you can take a train ride along the rugged mountains to the top of the White Pass which offers the most breath-taking views, take a stroll up to Lower Dewey Lake with lakes and nature surrounding you, or venture around the shops to find an Alaskan bargain.

This narrow 20-mile long fjord in the northern region of the Sound was created by glacial activity over millions of years. Today it boasts a collection of 16 glaciers and from the right angle it’s possible to see eight of the College Fjord glaciers at once.
