Fly overnight from the UK to Beijing
Day 1
On arrival transfer to 4-star hotel for a three night stay.
Forbidden City
Day 3
Head to Beijing’s symbolic heart, stroll across Tiananmen Square and into the sprawling magnificence of the Forbidden City. Entering through the Gate of Supreme Harmony, you will find a complex full of imperial riches. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the warren-like hutongs and visit a local family to gain a deeper insight into Chinese culture and local customers. Soak up the harmonious ambiance of the Temple of Heaven, an orderly oasis in a bustling urban landscape, where you can watch, or participate in, a dance class. This evening sit down to a traditional dinner of Peking Duck.
Great Wall and Summer Palace
Day 4
This morning is dedicated to China’s most iconic sight – the Great Wall. Taking a walk on this incredible structure is the best way to appreciate both the wall itself and the dramatic scenery that it crosses. Jade has been long cherished by the Chinese – at the Jade Museum you can understand and appreciate the delicate process of carving the stone and buy a piece if you wish. Savour an afternoon in the idyllic landscapes of the Summer Palace as you see the traditional Chinese gardens and exquisite architecture.
Fly to Xian
Day 5
Fly to Xian and stroll through the Muslim Quarter. This evening enjoy a delicious feast of traditional Shui Jiao dumplings and a Tang Dynasty dancing show.
Terracotta Warriors
Day 6
After their fortuitous discovery in the 1970s, the Terracotta Army of China’s first Emperor Qin Shi Huang has intrigued visitors ever since. Spend the morning viewing the enigmatic ranks of life sized warriors. Stroll on the beautifully preserved 14th century city walls that enclose Xian’s old town.
Fly to Wuhan
Day 7
Fly to Wuhan and transfer to Yichang to board the Yangtze River Cruise vessel.
Yangtze River Cruise
Day 8
A man-made marvel, the Three Gorges Dam showcases this massive feat of engineering. But as we cruise upstream nature takes over, revealing some of the world’s most dramatic scenery including the Three Gorges themselves. Over the next three days prepare for one breathtaking panorama after another. Take a side trip to the attractive Goddess or Shennong Stream and enjoy a shore excursion to the Shibaozhai Temple.
Fly to Guilin
Day 11
Disembarking from the cruise vessel, visit the Panda House at Chongqing Zoo before flying to the city of Guilin.
Li River
Day 12
Take a relaxed cruise along the stunning Li River to the charming village of Yangshuo. Around every river bend is a view to take your breath away as jagged karst peaks loom over rural scenes of lush greenery, grazing buffalo and local fishermen.
Day 13
Yangshuo sits in an exquisite rural location, surrounded by landscapes of jewel-green paddy fields and dramatic limestone karsts. Spend the morning exploring the country side before Driving back to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave and the South China Pearl Museum. In the evening see the famous cormorant fishermen.
Fly to Shanghai
Day 14
Fly to the exuberant city of Shanghai. Spend the afternoon admiring the fine arts and antiquities of the Shanghai Museum and strolling around People’s Square. View the city from the Huangpu River on a panoramic cruise.
Discover Shanghai
Day 15
Shanghai is China’s great metropolis, where east and west collide on streets lined with futuristic skyscrapers and 10th century temples. Today’s explorations include the peaceful Yu Gardens; and the atmospheric alleys of the old town. Admire the magnificent colonial architecture with a stroll along the Bund before enjoying some tasty, traditional Shanghai cuisine this evening.

Spend a day at sea and enjoy all of the many exciting facilities on-board or simply relax by the pool with a cocktail. On-board Quantum of the Seas, they’ll discover an unprecedented selection of activities, sports, games and shows, that cater for every age group and interest you can think of.
Day 18
Fukuoka is Kyushu's largest city and Japan's sixth largest. It is made up of two former towns, the Fukuoka castle town on the west bank of the Naka-gawa and Hakata on the east. The two towns merged in 1889 as Fukuoka, though the name Hakata is still widely in use. Hakata traces its trading history back some 2000 years, which continues today with visitors from Seoul and Shanghai. Among Japanese, the city is famed for its SoftBank Hawks baseball team and hearty Hakata ramen (egg noodles). Fukuoka's warmth and friendliness make it a great gateway to Kyushu, and warm weather and contemporary attractions – art, architecture, shopping and cuisine – make it a good base for regional excursions.
Day 19
Busan is the largest port city in South Korea and is situated on the southern eastern most tip of the Korean Peninsula. As you sail into port you will be greeted by the beautiful Busan bridge and skyline of the city that makes this place to special. Busan boasts fine seafood and stunning beaches and as such, attracts many visitors. During your time in Busan you can head to Dragon Head Hill for panoramic views of the city, enjoy a day of water sports on the beach or even explore the Haedong Yonggunsa Temple. There really is something for every taste here in Busan. There are many markets and shops around the city of Busan where you can purchase souvenirs such as; clothes, silk, bags, shoes, leather goods, glassware, ornaments and hand-crafted items.
Jeju Island
Day 20
Jeju-do, Korea’s largest island, has long been the country’s favourite domestic holiday destination thanks to its beautiful beaches, lush countryside and seaside hotels designed for rest and relaxation. There’s plenty on Jeju-do to appeal to those who prefer to be active. Hike up South Korea’s highest mountain, Hallasan, or climb the incredible tuff cone Seongsan Ilchul-bong, rising straight from the sea, to watch the sun rise from the ridge of a crater. For a less-demanding nature experience, meander along one of the Jeju Olle Trails and explore tangerine-trimmed country roads, jagged coasts and narrow lanes dotted with cottage-style homes made from black lava rock. The ocean is never far away, so plunge into blue seas to view coral as colourful as the sunsets and dig into Jeju-do’s unique cuisine, including seafood caught by haeneyo (female free divers).
