January cruises – the ideal winter escape?

January cruises to Aruba

It wasn’t too long ago that I wrote here about booking last minute cruises in 2013, and how there’s plenty of great availability to be enjoyed if you’re quick. But what about the very start of 2014? There are some great January cruises, and you really again need to think fast and get yourself booked if you might be interested.

You only have a few weeks before the January cruises even begin sailing (yes, Christmas is that close, and yes you need to get a move on with Christmas shopping too, unless you’re super-organised). And January always has a number of exciting destinations to choose from across many of the top cruise lines. So don’t worry about having to settle for something which isn’t perfect.

January cruises around the world

January cruises to the BahamasWe’ve actually got over 1,000 January cruises in 2014 still available to book. This includes every major region, although the majority are in warmer climates such as around Australia and, primarily, the Caribbean.

There are Transatlantic January cruises available, mostly travelling east to west, as some ships relocate for the main season in the Caribbean and off the US coast. You can even still grab the chance to sail on the Norwegian Getaway’s transatlantic voyage if you’re quick, though places are very, very limited.

And January is the season for the world cruise, so if you’ve got time on your hands and you fancy the ultimate cruise experience, consider booking yourself on a stunning voyage across multiple regions on sailings lasting between three weeks and three months. Again there are plenty of options, just head over to the world cruises pages on our website if you’d like to know more.

January is always a month where people are looking to book holidays. But you really shouldn’t overlook that time itself as a time to get away from it all. It’s still cold, the fun of Christmas and New Year is all over, and you need something to get excited about.

With one of our January cruises, all of that is taken care of.
