If you’re planning on setting sail towards the end of October, don’t be alarmed if you see spooky goings-on during your time on-board. Whether you’re planning to get involved or not, it helps to see what trick-or-treats to expect, so here are some of the upcoming events for cruise lines this Halloween.

Celebrity Cruises

Expect to hear things go bump in the night as you enjoy a Halloween-themed silent disco, complete with spooky decorations and themed drinks.

There’s also a best costume contest, costume parade for you to strut your stuff and theatres play iconic scary, family-friendly Halloween classics such as Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus and Casper. To keep the ghostly vibes throughout the ship, staff-manned stations and Guest Services also hand out sweets on their travels for the perfect treat!

Carnival Cruise Line boasts a special Halloween programme, Frightfully Fun, which involves plenty of spook-tacular events across the fleet. This is a month-long celebration including costume contests, trick-or-treating and a ghostly spin on regular ship activities such as deck parties, DiveIn Movies and bingo.

Patch the Pumpkin Pirate serves as the cruise line’s Halloween mascot, as he stands guard at the atrium for a fun atmosphere. Enjoy pumpkin carving, as well as many adult-only events with Halloween-themed cocktails and festive trivia to test your horror knowledge – there is also a dance party on-board!

Disney Cruise Line

Full of fun and jam-packed with kid-friendly activities, Disney Cruise Line celebrate Halloween in style! The cruise line transform their ships in to haunted mansions, complete with live music and pumpkin trees for a truly terrifying Halloween season.

There are plenty of themed parties to enjoy as well as themed treats, music and decorations. Your young ones will love the Halloween-events especially for them including story telling, scary films and trick-or-treating, with something for all to enjoy.

There are more treats than tricks during Halloween on-board Princes Cruises, with spooky decorations and speciality movies to enjoy. The central event is the Fright Night party – where guests gather in their Halloween finery to dance the night away!

There are plenty activities for children to enjoy as well, with scavenger hunts, costume parades, carved pumpkins and candy kits.

Royal Caribbean

Enjoy a thrilling time on-board Royal Caribbean during Halloween, starting with zombies on the prowl for ‘fresh meat’ to attend that evening’s costume parade. As the evening draws in, prizes are awarded to the scariest, funniest and most creative fancy dress, while gymnasts and aerialists wow the crowds from above.
