On the whole, drinks on cruise ships cost about the same as they do in high street bars, with some variation between the cruise lines. However, none of them charge extortionate amounts for drinks, so you don’t have to worry about being a ‘captive market’ on-board. Some drinks are in fact very reasonable, which can be a pleasant surprise, particularly to anyone who lives in London or is used to the prices you’ll find there!
Your cruise ship drinks menu may be priced in either Pounds, Dollars or Euros, depending on the cruise line and destination. For ease, we’ve converted all the prices to Pounds, and priced up a round of drinks on-board. As you’ll see, how much change you’ll get from £20 varies from £8 to nothing.
