The first ship of the fabulous new Prima class from Norwegian Cruise Line, designed to elevate expectations, Norwegian Prima first hit the waves in summer 2022. If you’re considering a sailing on this gorgeous new ship, we can give you all the insight and details from our colleagues sharing their experience on-board for an 8-night sailing visiting Iceland.

Accommodation on Norwegian Prima

Norwegian Prima has a brilliant range of stunning staterooms, meaning it’s easy to find accommodation that works for you.

Norwegian Prima is a wonderful ship for solo cruisers, with specially priced Studio Cabins. These have no single passenger supplement and include special access to the studio lounge where you can mingle with other solo travellers.

For those travelling with company, the following accommodation types are available.

Our colleagues stayed in a Large Oceanview Cabin boasting plenty of storage for those travelling with family or in groups. It had a large shower, toilet and huge sink, as well as a triple rail wardrobe. Next to the wardrobe was a vanity desk, stool and large mirror surrounded by lights, making getting ready easy! There was a three-seater sofa and a large king size bed! The best thing was the round window in the cabin which you can put your cushions on and sit in to take in the views as you come into port.

If you’re keen to feel the ocean breeze on your face, opt for a Balcony Cabin. You can step through the floor to ceiling doors of your stateroom onto a specious balcony where you can relax and listen to the waves. Or for a little more space, opt for a Club Balcony Suite or traditional Suite. For ultimate luxury, choose The Haven. Situated at the top of the ship, you’ll have a 24-hour butler service, a private sundeck with an infinity pool, and exclusive access to The Haven Restaurant.

Dining on Norwegian Prima

Foodies will be in their element aboard Norwegian Prima. With 13 dining venues to choose from and an additional two restaurants exclusively for Haven guests as well as 19 bars and lounges to relax in.

Enjoy fine dining at Hudson’s and the Commodore Room, a beautiful buffet at Surfside Café and Grill, or comfort food classics at the Local Bar and Grill.

The Indulge Food Hall was a top-rated favourite for our colleagues on-board, a new dining concept from NCL for Prima Class ships. You’ll find a delicious array of cuisines spread between 11 dining venues under one roof, included in the cost of your cruise. Whether that’s carb-loading at Nudls, getting a spice kick at Tamara, trying tasty tacos at the Latin Quarter or enjoying yummy barbecue at Texas Smokehouse. For something sweet afterwards, try Just Desserts or Just Ice Cream. Or, for chocoholics willing to pay a little extra, try the ultra-indulgent Coco’s.

Specialty dining on-board is certainly something to write home about. Carnivores will love tearing into a T-bone at Cagney’s Steakhouse. Hasuki serves up mouthwatering Japanese food, whilst Le Bistro offers fancy French fare. At Palomar you can enjoy exquisite Mediterranean dishes and Onda by Scarpetta brings you Italian delights. Sushi lovers will adore Nama and Mexican fiesta flavours can be found at Los Lobos.
