Arvia is the next ship in P&O Cruises spectacular Excel class. And if you’re interested in taking a voyage on P&O Cruise’s newest addition, we have all the info on what you can expect.

The Staterooms

For cruisers who don’t plan on spending much time in their cabin, opting for an inside stateroom is a great way to save a penny or two to spend on things like excursions, activities, and specialty dinners. These cabins are fairly small, ranging from 101-213 square feet.

However, if a sea view in your stateroom is a must for your cruising holiday, then a sea view cabin is a great option that is still suitable for lower budgets. You’ll also get a little more room in these cabins, as they range from around 210 to 307 square feet.

If your cruising fantasy involves beginning or ending your day by sitting out on your very own balcony, Arvia offers a variety of balcony cabins ranging from 107 to 300 square feet.

New to Excel Class ships is the charming conservatory mini suite. Ideal for those wanting a little more luxury, but not quite ready to splash out on a full suite, the conservatory mini suite is about 274 square feet. It includes floor to ceiling glass windows in the lounge area as well as a balcony.

For ultimate indulgence, opt for a suite. These glamourous staterooms range from 434 to 530 square feet.  As well as their vast size, Arvia’s suites offer a range of luxurious amenities. The spacious bathrooms include a blissfully relaxing whirlpool bath. A butler will attend to your every need. And a delicious breakfast is served daily in an exclusive restaurant for suite guests.

The Food

From fine dining to comfort food, cultural cuisines to delicious desserts, Arvia offers a multitude of delights for your tastebuds.

Dress in your finest attire to enjoy formal dining at The Epicurean, or for even greater glamour, attend a Chef’s Table Dinner with a menu designed by Marco Pierre White and wine list curated by Olly Smith.

Enjoy a feast for the eyes as well as the belly with the visually stunning dishes of Green and Co. featuring Mizuhana. Or why not enjoy dinner and a show at the magnificent Limelight Club, with a themed multi-course dinner served at intervals?

For a cosy atmosphere and British comfort food favourites head to the Keel and Cow gastropub or visit Roast Carvery at the Quays multi venue dining piazza. Or instead try a taste of 1950’s USA with the burgers and shakes of 6th Street Diner.

Arvia also offers a splendid variety of cultural restaurants. At Sindhu you can enjoy exquisite Indian dishes and even a tiffin-style lunch. At the Olive Grove cruisers can dine on fabulous Mediterranean food. And at the Beach House you’ll find both Caribbean and Southern American dishes with recipes from the wonderful Shivi Ramoutar. Shivi also lends her Caribbean culinary expertise to the yummy menu of Taste 360.

For a more casual dining experience, head to Horizon for a fabulous self-service buffet.

And to satisfy your sweet tooth? Try tea and cake at Vistas Café or enjoy a frozen treat at Ripples gelateria.

The Activities

In the Altitude Activity Dome you’ll find a number of great activities that are perfect for families or groups of friends. There’s a mini-golf course with an enchanting tropical island theme and a Sports Arena where you can play football, tennis, basketball and cricket. The Altitude Skywalk is a thrilling high-ropes course, ideal for cruisers looking for an adrenaline fix. And the Splash Valley Aqua Zone is Arvia’s own water park.

Have you always wanted to try an escape room? Well, you can on-board P&O’s Arvia with the multi-sensory experience of Mission Control. Or perhaps you’d rather just relax and watch a movie? Well then simply head to the Ocean Studios cinema complex.

Entertainment

On P&O Arvia you’ll enjoy spellbinding entertainment every evening.

Fans of Take That will love Greatest Days by Tim Firth, the official Take That musical, whilst the kids will adore the Wallace and Gromit show. Couples, on the other hand, should try competing in WaveLength, an interactive Mr. and Mrs. style game show.

Head to one of the bars or restaurants in the Sky Dome and watch phenomenal aerial performers work their magic. Or perhaps instead you’d like to visit the Limelight Club to appreciate some fantastic musicians. At the 710 club, the musical selection is inspired by the artist Gary Barlow and his influences, whilst at the Crow’s Nest you can enjoy the talents of a pianist.

Bars

The Glass House, found in the Sky Dome, is home to a marvelous selection of wines picked out by Olly Smith. The Amber Lounge, on the other hand, is a delightful place to enjoy a cocktail. The Sunset Bar allows you to admire blissful views as you sip. And Brodie’s pub has the comforting atmosphere of a true British tavern.

At Anderson’s Bar you can enjoy some of P&O’s very own distilled spirits, including Marabelle Gin and Tidal Rum- which is distilled on-board in the very first Rum Distillery at sea.

The Infinity and Panorama Pool and Bar is one of the most trendy places on board. Infinity pools, whirlpools, and loungers are combined with a swim up bar for uber cool vibes, and you’ll find live music and sometimes even silent discos here in the evenings.
