Luxury cruises to Alaska in 2019
The cruises will sail from Vancouver on a round-trip voyage departing between May and June, with particular highlights including cruising along the Hubbard Glacier, Tracy Arm Fjord and through the famous Inside Passage.
There will be more than 140 excursions on offer in Alaska, including new excursions such as:
- Whale Watching and Wildlife Quest – Ride a specially-designed catamaran past snowy peaks and glaciers to the waters of Stephens Passage where humpback whales often feed. Other wildlife also include Orca whales, sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, Sitka Blacktail deer and bears.
- Doglsed Adventure by Helicopter – This excursion includes two ways to experience Alaska’s scenery: a thrilling helicopter ride over alpine ridges and glacial peaks and an exciting chance to drive a team of huskies with professional mushers over Juneau’s famed Mendenhall Glacier.
- Taku Lodge Feast & Five-Glacier Seaplane Discovery – Enjoy soaring over waterfalls, mountains and the azure meltwater pools of mighty glaciers by floatplane, as well as experiencing a visit to the remote Taku Glacier Lodge. This is only accessible via floatplane and offers you the perfect chance to learn of the historic way of life and walk the pine forest trails here among the wildlife.
- Cooking in Alasksa’ Wildest Kitchen – Experience the delicacies of Alaska under the skilful prowess of an award-winning wilderness chef who will prepare wild, natural and sustainable Alaskan seafood during a tasting session.
- Scenic Mountain Ascent & World’s Largest ZipRider – Soak up the sweeping views of the Icy Strait and Glacier Bay as you fly 300-feet above the trees on a ZipRider cable ride – the highest in the US! Start at Hoonah Mountain and glide up to 60mph on a mile-long adventure before gently ending on the beach at Icy Strait Point.
