Carnival to offer a European Vista

Carnival vista

2013 was the last time we same a Carnival ship in European waters but all that’s about to change as the fun-loving line has just announced that it’s set to return to the continent.

carnival vistaCarnival’s newest ship, Carnival Vista, will sail out of both Athens and Barcelona on a number of cruises varying from eight to 10 days in length with a 12 day Barcelona voyage being of particular interest, as the line has aimed it specifically at UK cruisers.

The feature-packed vessel will begin its 2016 season on 1st May when it sets sail from the Italian port of Trieste, with Mediterranean destinations throughout the season to include Dubrovnik, Corfu, Marseilles, Naples, Rome and Valletta.

carnival vista Carnival Vista, the first ship in the line’s Vista class, is currently under construction and will be Carnival’s biggest ever ship, weighing in at 136,000 tons and catering to 4,000 passengers. The state-of-the-art ship will feature the first IMAX cinema at sea and Skyride, the first pedal-powered aerial experience at sea. Skyride will offer a truly unique way to take in the ocean vistas and indeed Vista itself, suspended 800 feet above the ocean and located conveniently close to SkyCourse – an exciting suspended rope circuit.

Beer fans will be pleased to know that the Red Frog pub will make a return, this time accompanied by an on-board brewery. There’s good news for families who love to cruise too, as the ship will also feature Family Harbor, a class of staterooms designed purely with families in mind.
