Cruise and stay holidays offer an experience that really cannot be rivalled. Obviously you know I’m a huge fan of cruises on their own, but if you want the ultimate getaway that combines the wonderful excitement of a sailing with a land holiday, you will love these packages.
These packages let you choose a relaxing escape on a cruise holiday with a hotel break added either before you set sail or at the end of your voyage. These give you time to explore more of your chosen destination, without the time restrictions you’d normally have of needing to board your ship before departure, or catch your flight home.
There are many great examples of cruise and stay packages but really it’s completely down to you. You could go with one of the more popular options or you could make up your own stay – you don’t even have to go for a hotel in the city where your ship embarks or disembarks, if you’re happy to transfer.
There are cruise and stay packages for everyone. If you’re travelling with the kids then you’ll struggle to find a more supreme holiday than a Caribbean cruise combined with a stay at Disneyworld in Orlando, whether just for a few nights or for a whole week. You get the thrill of your voyage with plenty of different activities, as well as the chance to really explore the theme parks in Florida.
Staying in the same part of the world, you might want to see the sights of New York alongside a Bahamas cruise, with a few nights giving you ample time to see the landmarks such as the Empire State Building, the lights of Times Square and Broadway, and the Statue of Liberty.
There are so many options that it’s impossible to list them all here, but how about an extended stay in Rome or Venice as part of a Mediterranean cruise? Or maybe you’ll want to spend more time seeing the various sights of Sydney when on a voyage around Australasia, or Singapore as part of a Far East sailing?
So not only do you get the variety of cities and ports that a cruise offers alongside the great entertainment features and food but you can then add on a stay at a fantastic hotel with everything taken care of for you – you don’t need to worry about booking transfers or flights or any part of your holiday, it’s all sorted on your behalf.
What more could you want?
