More Details on Cruise & Maritime’s New 2015 Ship

Cruise & Maritime ship in the Caribbean

As discussed in my previous blog on Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ upcoming ship, the Azores is due to launch in 2015 after massive renovation to bring her up to scratch. Now more details have emerged about the vessel, including her range of 2015 itineraries as well as comments from some of Cruise & Maritime’s leading figures.

The Azores has been declared as an adults-only ship, so travellers must be over the age of 16 to travel aboard her. Her maiden voyage will be an epic 30 night voyage to the Caribbean, departing from Bristol Avonmouth on 26th January. Other 2015 itineraries for the Azores include sailings named Seville Fiesta, Summertime Gardens & Medieval Cities, The Solar Eclipse & Northern Lights and a Scottish Edinburgh Festival cruise.

Vice President of sales and marketing for Cruise & Maritime Voyages in the USA John Dennis commented on the ship’s introduction to the fleet in 2015, saying, “Azores is an excellent, upgraded addition to our cruise fleet and has been affectionately and very well maintained by her owners. We are confident that Azores will prove to be a real winner with our dedicated growing number of loyal customers and will also attract new clients seeking smaller ship alternatives.”

Rui Alegre – CEO of Portuscale Cruises from whom Cruise & Maritime has chartered the Azores – added, “I’m a strong believer in developing close and long term business partnerships. I’m very pleased to have concluded a charter with CMV and look forward to working closely with their team in successfully establishing Azores on to the British market. Azores is a beautiful ship and has been operating very well in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. I am proud that she will be carrying CMV passengers next year and for many years to come”

After the Azores’ $150 million dollar refurbishment, equipping her with the state-of-the-art features discussed in my previous blog, she is sure to delight the many guests who grace her decks throughout 2015 and beyond.
