We’ve got a fantastic announcement for you today, one that I’ve been absolutely itching to tell you. We’ve had to wait a bit while we’re formalised a few things, and sorted out some technical details, but today’s the day I’ve personally been bouncing off the walls waiting for – we can now officially announce the launch of the Cruise118 Forum!
Forums are a great tool for finding like-minded people and discussing all of the major and minor issues to do with cruising, and to both offer advice and look for information from people who’ve been there and done it. It’s the perfect place to say hello whether you’ve never cruised before in your life but you want to know more, or if you are a verifiable expert who has wisdom to share.
There’s already some activity on the forum since it launched but we’re now going public after checking there wasn’t going to be any serious technical faults or glitches, so we’re now shouting from the rooftops in order to get our loyal community involved and create something that everyone can use on a regular basis, and be excited to do so.
You can sign up for the forum by following this link here: Cruise118 Forum Sign-Up
Once you’ve signed up, you can add a profile picture, as much personal detail as you like, and then you’re away. We’ve got a General Cruise Discussion Forum, a Destination Forum, a Cruise Lines Forum and then a Chit Chat Forum, so you don’t just have to talk about ships and sailings, you can chew the fat about the world at large.
However the best thing will be the chance to connect with people who are like-minded, arguing over whether the pizza on-board the Norwegian Epic trumps the offerings on the Brilliance of the Seas, or garnering opinions on whether it’s the Caribbean or Mexico for your next voyage.
And we’ll be present on the Forum as well, both me and Simon and maybe some other members of the team too, so you can ask us questions directly. One thing we promise is that the Forum isn’t there simply to shove cruise deals down your throat – we might post the occasional thread if there’s something truly sparkling, but we don’t want you to feel like it’s a cheap ploy just to bombard you with offers.
What we will be doing though is learning from the Forum, and tailoring the website to match that. So if you all say how much you like a certain destination with a certain cruise line, don’t be surprised to see a few more offers being promoted on the main Cruise118 homepage that are related to that.
But mainly it’s a chance for your to get to know people, have a new online space to talk about your favourite type of holiday (I hope) and have a bit of fun. I can’t wait to get chatting with you all, so go sign up won’t you?
