Cruise118 does Movember!

Cruise118 Movember Team

We’re sure that there are a few businesses around the country at the minute where people are taking part in Movember, and the Cruise118 offices are no different.

A team of manly men working here, including yours truly and Simon, our other regular blogger, have endured a month of itchiness, upper-lip-warmth and in some cases ridicule (that’s mainly me), all to help raise awareness and funds to support men’s cancer charities.

Movember might seem like a fairly-recent phenomena but it first began in 1999 in Australia. The Movember Foundation was then set up in 2004 to help raise funds for men’s health issues in Australia and New Zealand, and in 2007 a new arm was established in the UK along with Canada, Spain and the United States.

For some of our team it’s been a good bit of fun, and as you can see from the picture we’ve got some great moustaches being cultivated. Personally it’s been an absolute trial. On seeing a very good mate for the first time since the start of the month yesterday, I was greeted with howls of laughter.

But we know it’s for a good cause, and it’s been inspiring to see everyone in the office get behind us. So far we’ve managed to raise £165 with more people stating they’ll donate too, so we’re definitely looking like we’ll break the £200 barrier.

(Just be aware that most of our donations so far have been offline, so aren’t yet showing on that page.)

Meanwhile if you’re bored of all this moustache talk, just take a look at some new cruise deals we’ve got for you, and get one booked while you’re at it.
