Fred.Olsen Cruises Gripped By Beatlemania

Cruises from Liverpool

Combining its established UK customer appeal with that of the ever-expanding music-themed cruise market, Fred.Olsen cruises is chartering a Liverpool and Dublin Discovery mini-cruise, where the musical accompaniment is provided by Beatlemania, one of the world’s leading Beatles tribute bands.

Departing from Greenock, Glasgow, cruisers will first call at Dublin, the city which hosted the original Fab Four’s only ever performance in the Republic of Ireland way back in 1963, at the Adelphi Cinema. Chances are you weren’t there, so with the help of Beatlemania’s faithful and authentic renditions on-board, you can at least pretend to relive the experience. The city does of course, enjoy its own musical pedigree and cruisers can enjoy a bit of ‘the craic’ themselves and of course, visit the famous Guinness brewery and a host of cultural landmarks, such as Old Parliament House and Dublin Castle.

You’ve probably guessed where the second stop on this cruise is and you’d be right. In Liverpool, you can explore for yourself the streets of the Beatles’ spiritual home, and immerse yourself in the musical history of the Cavern Quarter, as well as visiting the city’s architectural and cultural landmarks, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Liver Building.

Beatlemania have entertained audiences the world over and have played alongside many of the original Fab Four’s contemporaries, including the Hollies and the Merseybeats. Whether you prefer the mop-top ditties or the flower-power anthems, the band cover all periods of the Beatles’ career, and change their outfits to suit the songs.
