Mediterranean Cruise, On A Chinese passport. Visas Needed?

Mediterranean cruises

My wife and I are thinking about going on a Mediterranean cruise, but my wife has a Chinese passport. Will she need a visa to visit countries where the cruise ship visits?

Yes. With a Chinese passport your wife will need a visa to visit the countries you’ll call at on your cruise. The good news is that she will be able to visit a number of Mediterranean countries on one visa. This is known as a Schengen visa, which came about after the Schengen Agreement between European countries, which signified that one visa could be valid for overseas travelers visiting their countries. Countries which may be on your Mediteranean itinerary but which are not part of the agreement and will therefore require individual visas are Morocco, Montenegro, Tunisia, Croatia and Slovenia, so you’ll need to check visa requirements if you are visiting any of those countries.
