DOREMI!
DOREMI!
MSC Cruises decided to celebrate World Music Day this year with the creation of a new official song for the children’s entertainment on-board the fleet’s ships.
The resulting effort is called Doremi Dance, named for the charming sun-shaped mascot Doremi, with music written by Sandro Comini and lyrics penned by Angela Senatore and Antonella Boriani.
The song was recorded by an Italian children’s choir called Piccolo Coro Mariele Ventre Dell’Antoniano Di Bologna.
MSC Cruises Youth Activities Coordinator Matteo Mancini said “Doremi Dance is an international pop song which aims to reflect the diversity of the children who sail on the MSC Cruises fleet. With lyrics in Italian, English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, the song evokes MSC Cruises’ Mediterranean roots and our ability to make children from around the world feel at home and have fun.”
The song will now be played as the opening theme tune to children’s activities on the ship, and recognised as the soundtrack to the official kids’ dance on-board.
I’ve included the song’s video for you here but be warned – while I’d be loath to use the word “annoying”, this song definitely has one of those frustrating tunes that you’ll have running around your head for hours on end – even if you really don’t want it to.
