P&O Cruises- Britannia

P&O Cruises have revealed a collection of sailings to depart this summer for vaccinated Britons only. The sailings will cruise around the UK coastlines offering the ‘ultimate British break’, says the cruise line.

From 27th June, these new coastal cruises will depart from Southampton until September including three- to seven-night breaks on the flagship, Britannia, and the latest addition to the fleet, Iona.

P&O Cruises President, Paul Ludlow said,

“Given recent announcements we have every hope that our guests will be able to enjoy a holiday this summer. After the stresses and challenges of the past year everyone certainly deserves a treat and this series of cruises will provide memorable and much needed UK getaways. Whilst there is still uncertainty about holidays abroad this summer, we are delighted to be able to offer our guests the ultimate escape here in the UK with the reassurance that we will take care of everything. Also, we really will look at the weather forecast each cruise and aim to take our ships where it is warm and sunny.”

Iona will feature for the ship’s maiden season, with week-long escapes to where the ‘sun shines the brightest’. Ludlow continued that these sailings mark ‘the start of Iona’s very special maiden season’ with a selection of seven-night sailings around the Scottish islands. He says, ‘Iona will anchor off Iona, the island after which she was named, with a celebratory extended stay until sunset for magical views of the historic shores.’

P&O Cruises- Britannia

Guests can look forward to this collection of Ultimate Escape UK holidays with the promise of memorable sailings on-board Britannia and Iona. From gourmet dining and poolside bites; cocktails and coffees; shopping, spas, shows and endless sea views – it’s the perfect getaway that’s close to home.

The cruise line offers free flexible transfers and has revised its health and safety protocols for these specific sailings, alongside their COVID-19 vaccine policy. All guests and crew will be required to follow enhanced health and wellbeing measures to protect everyone on board on these cruises, including measures such as social distancing and wearing masks in public areas of the ship.

The sailings are for UK resident COVID-19 vaccinated guests only, with a minimum of seven days required after the second dose being administered. Proof of vaccination and dates will be required, with approved documents and forms of evidence to be confirmed prior to departure. All other P&O Cruises currently on sale do not require guests to be vaccinated.
