Rocky Mountaineer adventures on Celebrity Infinity

Rocky Mountains by Eigenes Werk

Who says a cruise holiday needs to limit you to the coast? We’re offering a summer voyage from Vancouver aboard Celebrity Infinity that can show you the magnificent Canadian Rockies by rail, on an extended shore excursion on the Rocky Mountaineer.

Now this is no ordinary train journey. The Rocky Mountaineer is the Canadian equivalent of the Orient Express, featuring glass roofs in its premium carriages – and it slows down for photo opportunities as you travel through some of the most beautiful scenery that Canada has to offer.

A journey on the Rocky Mountaineer could see you spoiled with wine and fine dining if you travel in the Silver Leaf or Gold Leaf categories. Travelling in premium class will put you in upper-tier seats to give you perfect views of the countryside as you pass through – as well as access to open-air sections and separate areas to enjoy your meals.

The voyage

Beginning on 7th June, this holiday begins with an overnight stay in Vancouver to give passengers plenty of time to enjoy the city sights ashore.

The second day of this itinerary sees you boarding the Rocky Mountaineer for a classic train journey through the stunning mountain scenery of British Columbia. Here you’ll get the chance to see Fraser Valley, the Cascade Mountains and the churning rapids of Hell’s Gate on your journey to Kamloops and its picturesque lake.

Day three takes you east to Alberta and the beautiful Canadian Rockies themselves, showing you some spectacular sights like Kicking Horse Canyon and Canada’s magnificent glaciers. After travelling to Banff you could enjoy a full-day tour here and as far as Calgary, showing you unforgettable sights like Bow Falls and Surprise Corner. You’ll even have the chance to take a Summit Helicopter Tour, for the perfect way to appreciate the sheer scale of the Rocky Mountains.

Of course it’s not just about adventures ashore – your cruise will take you along some unforgettable ocean stretches like the Inside Passage and Icy Strait, giving you the chance to see Hubbard Glacier, Juneau and Ketchikan in Alaska on your cruise.

If this sounds like your kind of adventure, why not ask our dedicated Cruise Concierge team for more information or make your booking? Call us free on 0808 1234 118 and find out more about this journey into the heart of the Canadian wilderness.
