Royal Caribbean has recently announced that it has employed a team of celebrity expert advisors to help shape the amenities, activities and design of its forthcoming Quantum class vessels.
The Quantum Experience Advisors program involves a team of experts from such fields as entertainment, sports, fitness and design working in tandem with Royal Caribbean’s own teams on the Quantum of the Seas, set to debut in November 2014 and the Anthem of the Seas, which is due to set sail in April 2015.
Explaining the role of the advisors, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, the line’s Executive Vice President of Operations, said: “Our teams at Royal Caribbean are always leading the charge in terms of delivering innovative and industry-leading ships and programming and now, by teaming up with some of the brightest and most talented professionals in their respective fields, we are sure to make the Quantum-class some of the most amazing ships to ever set sail. Guest experience is our number one priority and our Quantum Experience Advisors are bringing fresh insights, opinions and perspectives to help us deliver the kinds of WOW moments that can only be found on Royal Caribbean.”
The advisors will be actively involved in the creation of new programs and features and their input will be documented by way of a number of online videos which will give guests an insight into how the advisors work and the kind of decisions they will make.
The ships’ overall look is the first item on the agenda and to help the line with this, it has appointed leading US TV interior designer Genevieve Gorder as Quantum Experience Advisor for Design, who’s helping to shape the look of the ship’s loft and suite accommodations. The New York-based designer has reviewed fabrics, furnishings and carpets for the Quantum of the Seas, is participating in design sessions and is set to visit the shipyard where the vessel is being built.
Royal Caribbean plans to reveal other Quantum Experience Advisors over the coming months, but if you’ve any ideas of anyone you’d like to see involved, do let us know!
