The wonders of the Celebrity Eclipse

Celebrity Eclipse cruises

When she joined the Celebrity fleet in June 2010, Celebrity Eclipse became the third member of Celebrity Cruises’ extraordinary new Solstice class family. The largest, most sophisticated ships in the Celebrity fleet, each boasts an innovative design and a host of ground-breaking new features.

As the first ever Celebrity ship to be based in the UK, Celebrity Eclipse has quickly become a firm favourite with Brits and it’s not difficult to see why. With their Solstice Class, Celebrity set out to create a ship that was inspired by their guests’ idea of the perfect cruise ship and have designed it with that firmly in mind.

So what are the perks?

One of the more noticeable features is the freshly manicured half-acre lawn on the top deck, the perfect place to play a game of bowls or croquet or simply relax on the grass with a glass of wine. Eclipse also features the novel iLounge, a smart and sophisticated venue where you can play around with the latest Apple products or purchase them tax free. The AquaSpa by Elemis is another welcome inclusion. With treatments including; body wraps, slimming treatments and steam rooms, this is the perfect place to relax and indulge.

Celebrity dining

With 10 dining options to choose from, Eclipse has a venue to suit every taste. The highly original new alternative dining venue Qsine is a passenger favourite where guests can indulge in a tasting and sharing menu featuring favourite dishes from around the world each with a playful twist. You can sample things like sushi lollipops, popcorn fish ‘n chips and tacos where you’ll mix the dip yourself with your own pestle and mortar.

Waiters will ply you with food to taste until you can’t manage anymore. The menu and wine list are even presented on an iPad. Other dining highlights include the Tuscan Grille Restaurant which offers the finest steak and seafood on the ship and speciality restaurant, Blu, exclusively for those booking an AquaClass stateroom or suite features a wide choice of fresh and healthy dishes such as ahi tuna, fillet mignon, and rack of lamb.

World-class entertainment

Celebrity really has pulled out the ‘wow’ factor with the entertainment on board. The glass-blowing show is a unique art production where experts create art like you’ve never seen before. The main show lounge is the place to see outstanding Broadway shows, cabaret and comedy acts. Exceptionally unique bars provide a whole host of non-stop entertainment including the Martini Bar & Crush, with a sleek frosted main bar and a small alcove featuring an ice-fi lled table centre where you can sample Caviar and vodka pairings.

Ocean view comfort

When Celebrity created their staterooms they decided to speak to people with different cruising backgrounds to get a full range of opinions on what would work best. As such, the rooms boast a simple and comfortable design, 90% of staterooms feature ocean views and spa-inspired amenities are just a few of the luxuries that you can expect on your Celebrity Eclipse cruise. Designed for the ultimate spa enthusiast, AquaClass staterooms, each with a private balcony, are nestled away from it all, comfortably close to the AquaSpa® by Elemis®, the Solarium and the wonderful Persian Garden to which AquaClass guests have unlimited access.

Created by you

Celebrity is a cruise line renowned for their innovation, contemporary elegance and impeccable service. Their ships boast sophisticated luxury throughout and Celebrity Eclipse is no exception. Perfect for those who like the finer things in life but without the steep price tag, Celebrity Eclipse is at the forefront of modern cruising. So when you add it all up, with the luxury staterooms, contemporary design, innovative facilities and the venues exclusive to children, it would seem Celebrity, with your help of course, really have thought of everything.
