Celebrity Cruises’ award-winning vessel Celebrity Eclipse is certainly no stranger to British shores, offering some fantastic itineraries from Southampton to the Mediterranean, the Canaries and the Norwegian fjords, as well as a number of transatlantic crossings, too. As of April 2015 however, The Solstice Class vessel will emerge from dry dock with some fantastic new features, which will make it even more appealing for ex-UK cruisers.
What’s changing?
Following an extensive renovation, The Cellar Masters wine lounge is becoming Gastrobar. New
laid-back surroundings will create the perfect atmosphere, as passengers can enjoy entertainment and music as they choose from over 40 different boutique beers and an enticing selection of wine and cocktails. It will be a great place to grab a bite to eat too, as there will be a varied menu of bar food available.
The Celebrity Eclipse’s casino is staying but is being treated to a makeover. There’s good news for British cruisers who enjoy a flutter too, as it will feature British-style slot machines and European-style roulette. The bar’s also being upgraded and the new layout will allow for larger TVs on which to watch a number of top sporting events.
We’ll also be saying farewell to the Pool Kiosk and hello to Slush. This all-new, bright and breezy frozen drinks venue will offer an enticing and flavoursome selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, with such zesty ingredients as Persian Lime and pressed lemon juice in the mix.
The Corning Museum of Glass will become a venue for Fine Art photography, when it gets turned into The Studio. The idea is that guests will be able to get a taste for portrait photography in an all-new luxurious environment.
