Carnival Cruise Line have announced that the sister ship to Carnival Vista will be named Carnival Horizon, with the new 133,500-ton ship due to be delivered in March 2018.
Look ahead to new horizons with Carnival
Carnival Horizon will offer many of the indoor and outdoor dining, bar, entertainment and activity options available on Carnival Vista including SkyRide – a pedal-powered two-land suspended course offering stunning ocean views – as well as the IMAX Theatre, WaterWorks aqua park, Seuss at Sea programme in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Alchemy Bar.
Seuss at Sea offers children special on-board activities such as character parades, interactive story time, arts and crafts and character breakfasts featuring their favourite Dr. Seuss characters.
When to look out for Carnival Vista?
The ship is currently under construction at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Italy. Details about home ports and itineraries are yet to be released.
Carnival Cruise Line president, Christine Duffy, said:
“The name Carnival Horizon not only reflects the ship’s unique connection with the sea with so many spectacular indoor and outdoor spaces but also the boundless array of options that guests of all ages are sure to enjoy.”
