It’s certainly no secret that Carnival is a cruise line which is serious about its burgers, which is why it took the decision to name its burger joint after one of the American classic’s most celebrated exponents, restaurateur, author and Food Network personality Guy Fieri. The specialist shares his experience with the line through Guy’s Burger Joint, where roadside burgers are served at the poolside and passengers can try their hand at making their own creations, too.
Now, the celebrity is introducing his faithful viewers – and his own family – to the line’s newest vessel, Carnival Breeze, by way of a new TV special, scheduled to be aired next week. Guy’s Family Cruise follows Guy and his family as they explore the Caribbean, making stops at such ports as Miami, the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands and Jamaica.
Fieri said of the experience: “Our family vacation on Carnival Breeze was awesome … I’m stoked that we brought the cameras along so that everyone can see all of the off-the-hook food and cool things you can do on board and in port on a Carnival cruise.”
During the show, Guy and his family provide viewers with a preview of the ship as they
try out many of its facilities and attractions, including the WaterWorks waterpark, the SkyCourse rope-walking experience and of course, Guy’s Burger Joint, where the restaurateur works the line with his sons, serving customers some of his famous creations. It wasn’t just burgers on the menu though, as the Fieri family Tucked in at the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse and Italian-themed Cucina del Capitano.
Carnival’s Chief Marketing Officer Jim Berra said of the show: “Whether you’re new to cruising, a Carnival veteran or big fans of Guy, this new special provides television viewers an authentic look at how one family can enjoy a multitude of delicious dishes, fun activities and exciting entertainment on a Carnival cruise vacation.”
