Is it worth going for the drinks package on RCL Caribbean cruise? What are the prices like if you pay as you go?

It really depends on how much you drink. There are a number of drinks packages available with Royal Caribbean and certainly, they do work out cheaper if you intend to drink regularly during your cruise. The Classic Beverage Package works out at around £29 per guest per day and includes beer, house wine by the glass, sodas and non-alcoholic cocktails, while the Premium Beverage Package includes everything in the Classic package along with all spirits and frozen drinks for £36 per day. You’ll pay around £3.50 per bottle of beer or glass of wine if you pay as you go, but remember that a 15 per cent surcharge will be applied for every drink you buy, so the price can soon mount up, especially if you consider that soft drinks are also subject to bar prices.
