Princess Cruises has plenty to do with magic

princess cruises

With a name that already lends itself to fairy-tale romance, Princess Cruises is the perfect line to introduce a little more magic into its entertainment line-up, with the arrival of Magic To Do, the first of four completely original productions created exclusively for the line by Grammy, Oscar and Tony award-winning composer, Stephen Schwartz.

Magic To Do will be inspired by Schwartz’s love of magic and will be a revue performance featuring some of his most memorable compositions including Defying Gravity and Day by Day, along with a brand new song created exclusively for Princess Cruises, entitled A Little Magic. Of course, you can’t have a show with ‘magic’ in the title without some top class illusions, which is why the show will also feature some of the world’s most famous magic tricks, accompanied by Schwartz’s music.

Schwartz is not the only illustrious name involved either, as he will be bringing together some serious Broadway talent including magic specialist Jim Steinmeyer, Associate Producer of The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast Don Frantz and respected director Gabriel Barre, the talent behind the national tour of Pippin.

If you love a night at the theatre or indeed a magic show, then this is the perfect performance and sure to be a spellbinding success with Princess passengers. If you’ve cruises with Princess before, this new addition to the line’s entertainment roster is sure to make your cruise even more memorable, while if you haven’t had the chance yet, this is the perfect opportunity to see for yourself what makes the line so special and enjoy something new and exclusive, too.

Magic to Do is now showing on-board Emerald Princess and will be making its debut on Ruby Princess later on in the year.

What’s the best show you’ve enjoyed while at sea? We’d love to hear.
