P&O’s fabulous Strictly Come Dancing themed cruises are back for 2014 and, in partnership with BBC Worldwide, will boast a marvellous line-up of stars from the popular TV series. Several separate Strictly Come Dancing cruises will operate this year, each featuring two pairs of the show’s professional dancers alongside the legendary but often scathing judge Craig Revel Horwood, who will join every Strictly voyage for the year. Each cruise will also feature special celebrity guests from past Strictly series, to create an unforgettable on-board dancing extravaganza.
Whilst on-board the Strictly Come Dancing stars will be available to offer extensive interviews and Q&A conferences as well as photo opportunities and signing sessions. Official Strictly Come Dancing showcases, produced by the BBC, will also be performed and a collection of stunning outfits from the programme will be displayed around the ship, as well as during special on-board fashion events.
Aside from the organised shows and performances, passengers will also get the chance to don their dancing shoes and take to the floor at regular dance classes, at which they can hone their skills and meet renowned dancers Robin Windsor, Ian Waite and Camilla Dallerup, before taking part in an exciting dance competition, with the grand final taking place in front of a packed audience in the ship’s main theatre – where contestants will be judged by Craig Revel Horwood in traditional Strictly style, alongside the vessel’s special celebrity guest. Celebrity guests will include Mark Foster, Patrick Robinson and Lisa Riley amongst many others still to be announced, each travelling at different stages of the voyages.
The next available Strictly Come Dancing cruise for 2014 will depart from Southampton on the 20th April on the Oriana, bound for the Canary Islands, and calling in ports including Lisbon, Madeira, La Palma, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Cadiz and La Coruna. The famous dancing couples planning on joining this voyage are Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff as well as Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe.
On the 31th May 2014, the Strictly Come Dancing cruise will embark on a 14 night western Mediterranean round trip from Southampton on-board the Oceana, offering guests the opportunity to spend time in wonderful ports such as Gibraltar, La Coruna, Alghero, Florence, Pisa, St Tropez, Barcelona and Cartagena. The Strictly partnerships on-board for this voyage will be Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara alongside Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff.
Slightly later in the year on the 2nd August, P&O will run a further 12 night western Mediterranean Strictly cruise aboard the Azura, visiting a number of sun-drenched destinations including Lisbon, Gibraltar, Barcelona, Ibiza, Cartagena and Seville. The voyage will feature the dancing talents of Ian Waite and Camilla Dallerup together with Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas.
Alternatively, travellers and fans of the show can choose to set sail on a 13 night Canary Islands cruise departing on the 25th September aboard the Aurora, showcasing the marvellous ports of Lisbon, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, La Palma, Madeira and El Ferrol, with dancing guests including Ian Waite and Camilla Dallerup plus Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.
Each of these incredible P&O Strictly Come Dancing cruises is guaranteed to entertain and delight passengers, especially those who are fans of the show. If you would like to book your place aboard for this once-in-a-lifetime voyage, call our dedicated Cruise Concierge team to discuss your options.
