Summer can’t stop the Frozen fun for Disney

frozen cruise

If you have children or grandchildren, the chances are that your Christmas included something Frozen-related. OK, even if you don’t, there’s still a good chance that it did. The hugely successful Disney animation was everywhere last year and now it’s about to come to the ocean with the Land of Frozen set to debut this summer across Disney Cruise Line’s fleet.

In the true Disney spirit, the all-new themed experiences are set to offer Frozen fun for all the family, with events debuting in the summer including deck parties, a stage show production, character meet-and-greets as well as on-shore adventures, too.

Passengers on select sailings on-board the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic in Europe and Alaska will see their ship transformed into the land of Frozen for the day, with the chance for guests to celebradisney frozente with their favourite characters from the film. Step into your ship’s atrium on another morning and you’ll find icicles abound as you’re transported to Queen Elsa’s ice palace. Throughout the day, there are themed events and plenty of opportunities for meet and greets with such favourites as Anna, Elsa Kristoff and Olaf and the chance to build a snowman and join in Anna’s chase for chocolate – with a suitably-themed prize up for grabs of course. There’s also an exclusive dining experience with traditional Nordic-inspired food on offer and special dishes inspired by the film.

The fun continues into the evening with Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends – a deck party at which guests can join in the fun with characters from the film, as the upper decks are suitably transformed into an enchanting icy realm, thanks to icicles and giant snowflakes. There’s a dance routine based on the film’s ice-cutting scene, reindeer games and Olaf reminds guests that they are actually cruising in more moderate temperatures with a performance of his signature tune In Summer. Elsa then brings everyone back in theme when she asks passengers to Let it Go.

On Disney Magic, the summer will also see the line’s Disney DreamsDisney cruise…an Enchanted Classic musical production welcome the film’s characters to perform three songs, while Anna, Elsa and Olaf will tour all ships in the line’s fleet for meet and greet fun. Olaf will make another appearance when he cools things down on the cruise line’s own private island Castaway Cay, serving speciality drinks in special souvenir cups.
