Which cruise line is the best for weddings?

How to book a cruise

A large number of cruise lines offer on-board wedding services, so determining which one is best suited for you depends on exactly what you want and how much you want to pay.

Princess Cruises is one of the most popular lines with couples seeking to marry, because the line offers a choice of three wedding packages, where you can marry on-board, harbourside or ashore. The ship’s captain is also licensed to conduct your ceremony and it can be broadcast live to friends and family via webcam.

You can also be legally married by the captain on-board Celebrity and Azamara ships and both lines offer a choice of packages, including a ‘Nautical Nuptuals at Sea’ package, which includes a host of romantic extras.

If you have children, Disney Cruise Line is a good option and you can even get married on the line’s own island, Castaway Cay, while Carnival Cruises’ wedding packages are always popular with younger couples. Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Norwegian Cruise Line all offer an extensive choice of wedding services and options, while a wedding on-board a Cunard vessel would be the perfect option if you’re after a classic maritime ambience.

P&O Cruises offer Weddings at Sea package, with the option of a shore excursion as part of the deal and the line’s mix of family and adults-only ships means that you can find the right kind of ship for your big day.

So once you’ve popped the question, you can take a look at our fantastic selection of cruise deals offered by all the lines we’ve mentioned here and find your perfect cruise.
