Leaving Lisbon, we drive northwards and arrive at our first point of the visit: the beautiful walled town of Obidos with its narrowed streets and the Pousada do castelo. We then drive to Alcobaca where we can visit the 12th century Church of the Monastery with the tombs of Pedro and Ines de Castro. We drive to Nazare' the most colourful Portuguese fishing village, where we stop for lunch (not included). If possible, we will go to the Sitio for a panoramic view of the beach and village. In the afternoon we go to Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic considered a heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Finally we arrive at Fatima's Sanctuary, centre of Christian faith and a place of world pilgrimage, to visit the Basilica where the tombstone of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine. Eventually we will have time to attend the mass. At the end of the day we will return to Lisbon through the colorful farming region.

- Half Day Excursion to Elephanta Caves Take this half day excursion to the Elephanta Caves, located nine kilometres by sea from the Gateway of India (approximately one hour boat ride). A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Elephanta Caves are a must see when visiting Mumbai. The Elephanta Caves are characterised by rock temples carved out of the two hills that emerge from the centre of the island. It is said that the Portuguese named the island after the stone elephant they found here. At Elephanta you can see the cave shrine to Lord Shiva, which belongs to the sixth century and a massive three-header sculptor representing Braham the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. You can also find the other interesting sculptures here including those that depict the marriage of Shiva and Parvati.
